The Cleveland Rock Gym is offering instructional classes tailored to help
area Girl and Boy Scouts earn their respective Adventure and Climbing Badges!
BSA Climbing and Rappelling Merit Badge Course
This four-hour course, taught by a certified merit badge counselor,
is specifically designed so that participants can fulfill all of the
requirements necessary to earn a BSA Climbing & Rappelling Badge.
Instruction includes: planning for and identifying potential hazards
associated with the support of climbing, location evaluation, function
and proper use of climbing and rappelling equipment, verbal signals
used in climbing and rappelling, proper and safe belay and rappel
technique. This course is designed and facilitated using BSA
approved Climb on Safely procedure.
